Do you think Stevie Wonder's only lasting contribution to Western Civilization is "I Just Called to Say I Love You"? If so, think again. Modern-day stylemakers Kanye West , The Neptunes, Alicia Keys, Beyonce and Prince all owe a tremendous debt to this Motown Records mainstay. It certainly behooves anyone who wants to be stylish to reconsider the 8th Wonder, and especially his greatest album of all, the 1973 release Innervisions. The lyrics, composition and production are almost entirely done by Wonder himself, and like the great Marvin Gaye's tremendous What's Going On?, Innervisions crystallizes the politics and culture of an important historical moment.
Oh, and one more thing: like What's Going On?, Innervisions makes you shake it and very nearly break it.
