"Oh, sweetheart ... you smell like cheese."
The British favor the pungent and intense flavor of Stilton blue-cheese. In addition to being a dairy favorite, it has a rich historical presence. The counties of Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, and Derbyshire continue to make the moldy cheese using the same techniques as was used in the 1700s.
The British love their cheese so much, in fact, that The Stilton Cheese Makers Association (SCMA) has commission a firm to duplicate the aromatic (or as we like to think, offensive) scent of the blue-veined Stilton cheese. Soon to be released is the "highly wearable" perfume, Eau de Stilton.
No word yet how much this delectable perfume will cost.
