Fashion Week Pick of the Show: Doo.Ri
Doo.Ri is one Spring 2007 collection that I loved almost in its entirety. Though the collection was almost completely devoid of any color whatsoever (except for a silvery pale green), the shapes were beautiful and definitely wearable. Black, white, and pale gray pieces incorporated trends without making them the obvious focus of the look. My favorite is the short strapless dress with a semi-wide satiny belt that actually sits at the waistline (not like a babydoll, not a drop waist -- not that those are bad, of course). The only thing I thought was weird was the black pants paired with an awkward top that looked like a cross between a butler and a french maid.
