TuneStyle: The Junior Boys
Think that Canadians Bryan Adams and Sarah McLachlan are the hippest musicmakers the Great White North has to offer? If so, take a look -- or a listen, rather -- to The Junior Boys. With their newest album So This is Goodbye just released (as they say in the music business, it "dropped" last month), the Junior Boys are white-hot at the moment. Straight out of Hamilton, Ottawa, the Junior Boys -- a.k.a. Jeremy Greenspan, Matt Didemus and Johnny Dark -- turn out eerie, life-changing techo-pop songs.
While a comparison to The Postal Service (whose album Give Up is among the hippest of all time ... or at least 2003) is obligatory, The Junior Boys are a thing unto themselves. And Canadian, to boot!
