Disaster at Dsquared

Oh, the drama! Milan's fashion week has really proven to be incredibly eventful couple of days. With the Cavalli protest, the skinny model law, and a number of high profile editors being snubbed by important designers, I really thought that there couldn't be more action packed into five days if we tried. Just when we thought it was all over, a true disaster (at least on the scale of a "fashion disaster") happens at Dsquared.

At the label's runway show, the photographer pit (the area set aside for photographs) somehow collapsed due to overcrowding. The center of the structure dropped about 10 centimeters, which caused a sort of domino effect with the photographers and their cameras. Luckily, no one was hurt in the incident, so the show was able to continue.

The only fashion disaster I see are those jackets the twins are sporting.

What in the world is going on in the fashion industry? Are these people completely nuts? Everyone is so over the top and so unhappy. Too skinny, too fat, too rich, too poor, too glamorous, too common, trying too hard to be different. These folks have lost touch with the billions of people who shop at places like Target. Make some clothes that fit normal sized people and quit trying to make a pair of jeans a $2000.00 status symbol. rediculous!

I thought it was fashion week, not the army. What is with those jackets, and what the heck are the girls in the background wearing??? I worry about the future of fashion.

I've worked on runway shows in the past and I've learned this much. The only people who care about fashion shows are completely out of touch with the world on a larger scale. If you think there is nothing more important at this moment in time than your fashion show, you've probably missed the headlines for the past fifty years. It's time for the fashion world to wake up and ditch their artificial little sense of importance and urgency.

Get a grip most people in America are overweight and can't afford these ridiculous outfits anyway. Dressing men like women and women like men, what will be next?

OMG,you havn't seen a fashon disaster untill you show up wearing the same thing as someone else (and they look better in it)! It is just the end of the world! NOT! Who really cares. Designers are so out of touch, i would never wear anything that came off the runways, to REAL people, that junk is just TACKY! sorry if that offends, but i want to look like a human, not an alien addicted to heroin that thinks food is poison. If the point is to 'sell' your line, why not market to people, you know those things that walk around with hips and a bust?

Do you know what fashion trend I think is ridiculous? The jeans that they sell with the huge holes in them. It used to be that if you got a hole in your jeans that they were garbage or to be used for dirty jobs such as painting. But now they charge you $40 or more to come with the holes.

I think the jackets look awesome! Hip and wildly different.....I guess it just depends on what you are used to, and whether or not your own style is conservative, or edgy.

I kinda dig the jackets It's all about doing and wearing what you like.

This wasn't a disaster, but more of a mishap.

I'm an artist and I like fashion, but I feel like the designers have lost touch with the world. I'm a model, not a famous one...yet, but I want to help change the industry. I'm a designer, not a famous one...once again yet, and I can't sew, but I can draw and design clothes. So far I have made mostly evening gowns, FOR REAL WOMEN, WITH CURVES, because everybody is not a stick figure. I hope to start a line and open a store soon. Don't worry, the clothes with be realistic.
