Eau du Elton John
Following the ever-popular trend of celebrity scents, British singer/songwriter/dandy Elton John just unveiled his own line of home fragrances. The Rocket Man's collection of holiday home scents, which include candles, fragranced oils and plug-in diffusers will be sold at Bath & Body Works. In true Elton John form, part of the proceeds from the venture will go towards the Elton John AIDS Foundation. When asked about the so-called "Fireside Collection," Elton John said that he was inspired to do it for two reasons. The first was his love of candles (how quaint!), and the second was his desire to raise awareness about his AIDS Foundation (how noble!).

Elton has been using the famous Slatkin & Company to manufacturer his candles, and they are a high end company found in stores like Neiman's, Saks and Bergdorfs. I just bought a Slatkin candle this past weekend in the scent, "Black Fig and Absinthe," and it smells as exotic as it sounds.
