Friends don't let friends drink and buy
Ah, the internet -- bringing us the kinds of social ills and personal vices we could have never imagined back in 1995. With broadband access in American households approaching 50 percent, the availability and ease with which people can buy seems to be adding to our national problem with credit card debt. And throwing a cocktail into the mix of shopping, internet and credit cards doesn't seem to be helping the situation. Experts are starting to recognize a correlation between alcohol consumption and excessive internet buying.
It seems to add up, doesn't it? After all, people have been impulse buying for ages and for a varieties of reasons -- depression, loneliness, relationships. The internet coupled with booze probably makes the emotional buying that much easier.
What do you think? Have you ever bought anything you didn't want online after drinking?
