Texas is known for many things, none of which include cutting-edge fashion. Yes, we who hail from the Lone Star state have to work a little harder than some to find out what is really trendy at the moment.Being obsessed as I am with all things British, I am loving the smock-style tunic that has been shown at many of London's style shows this season. The neatly pleated, feminine smock can be worn as a dress or over jeans or leggings, and is nearly universally figure flattering if worn correctly. An article in the Telegraph gives a great list of Do's and Don'ts for tunic-wearing style.
Some of the tips include advice to wear chunky heels or knee-high boots when pairing smocks or tunics with jeans, and (my personal favorite) an admonishment against shunning the tunic in fear of looking pregnant - instead, hope that someone gives up their seat on the train for you!
