Project Runway gets spooky
It's been a couple weeks since the widely controversial finale to Bravo's Project Runway, but already the contestants of the the first three seasons are back in the limelight. If the show had been airing during Halloween, this certainly would have been an official challenge: design a Halloween costume that anyone can throw together. Over at NPR, they've got a few Project Runway alumni and their ideas for a home made costume.First, we've got Nick Verreos and his "Flavor Flav" costume, for which he suggests purchasing a "pimp daddy suit." Of course, you'd also need a giant (and maybe a little bit gaudy) clock to wear around your neck, just like Flavor Flav.
Next up is Nora Caliguri's "the (child) pirate who found treasure" costume. The necessities: a bandana, a white oversized collared shirt, an eyepatch, boots, and a sword. How creative!
And one idea that's sure to pop up all over the place this Halloween is the "team iPod" costume, by Katherine Gerdes. It's easy enough: wear all black, listen to your iPod and dance around the room.
If you don't use one of these ideas for your Halloween get-up, try dressing up as one of the actual contestants!
