National Sausage Week has Carol Thatcher for a spokeswoman. I didn't know who Carol Thatcher was when I started writing this, but after a quick Google search, I found out that she is in fact, a British journalist, as well as the daughter of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. As the BBC put, Thatcher adds a hearty, no-nonsense image to the meat product.
National Vegan Week doesn't have a official spokesperson, but veganism does its own boy-wonder Moby. Moby is an electronic musician and a singer. He is also the great-great-grandnephew of Herman Melville, author of Moby Dick. Moby lends National Vegan Week a trendy, but pale image to the meat-free lifestyle.
But which spokesperson has better style? Well, Thatcher is definitely tougher looking. But, Moby was once threatened publicly by Eminem at the MTV Music awards. While I like Moby's glasses, I have to admit the obvious disadvantage Thatcher faces the spawn of the "Iron Lady."
What do you think? Who has a better thing going: Moby and the Vegans or Thatcher and the sausages?
