For some reason, I haven't thought about The Body Shop in many many years. I do remember, however, that there was a time all the way back in high school (and yes, that was a very long time ago) when every girl I knew was utterly obsessed the Body Shop. I suspect howver, that once fruity, over-fragranced "body" products and makeup saturated the marketplace a la Bath & Body Works and others, The Body Shop sort of faded into the woodwork of whatever local mall.

Reader Maura just recently tipped us off to The Body Shop's re-vamped, somewhat new makeup line, the Pure Sparkle Collection. I have been re-acquainted with the line that I had shelved in favor of overpriced department store skincare products and dirt-cheap drugstore cosmetics. The Body Shop fits right in between there, and Maura recommends their Super Volume Mascara ($12) and Shimmer Cubes ($17.50).
