I don't know about you, but Christmas carols got really old, really fast...by October. Malls were pumping muzak versions of it through their corridors as soon as November 1 hit, and really now, how many times do I have to see the sound-activated dancing Santa? If you're as sick and tired of decking your tannenbaum with Rudolph and Frosty, fa la la la la, then how about something a little more fun, but still keeping with the season? The Onion has put together a list of songs about shopping. Granted , the songs themselves are not necessarily the most cheerful and happy, but it's funny to hear The Clash's Lost in the Supermarket right before Dolly Parton's The Bargain Store.
So burn, baby, burn a CD, pop it into your dashboard, and dash away, dash away, off to the mall!
