No more Tim Gunn?

The best part of Project Runway isn't the catty backbiting or the under-pressure designs. In my humble opinion, the true star of Project Runway is Tim Gunn. Silver-haired and dashing, Parsons fashion design professor Tim Gunn gives the otherwise free-for-all reality show a truly professional feel.

According to PEOPLE magazine, Tim Gunn might not be returning for season four of Project Runway. Until now, the filming of the show took place after the end of the semester, when Gunn's academic commitments were minimal. But this time around, Gunn has insisted that he will not be available for filming during the academic year. So far, Bravo has not locked in a filming schedule, so there is still a chance that they can find a way to include Gunn.

Even if it is disappointing, I admire Tim Gunn for being so committed to teaching. However, from a purely selfish point of view, if Tim Gunn isn't back next season, I'm really going to miss him!

So please, Tim, just make it work!

Hey everyone this is Ani Esmailian for Hollyscoop. Tim Gunn made the shocking announcement that he has been celibate for 29 years, but don't feel too bad for him, he's totally cool with it. “I haven't had sex in 29 years. Do I feel like less of a person for it? No. Not even remotely,” said Gunn. He says the reason for his abstinence is because of psychological drama he suffered in a past relationship.

Yes, I totally agree. Tim Gunn adds an air of sophistication, humor, charm and interest to the show. Work around his schedule so Tim can gather the designers around and make it work!

I for one LOVE Tim and likely will NOT watch unless he is there to 'MAKE IT WORK!"

The show will lose much of it's loyal audience if Mr.Gunn does not return (myself and friends/family included). Mr.Gunn is Project Runway! He brings something unmeasurable to the show; he's that razor sharp intelligence, he exudes elegance, sophistication, and talent. Mostly, he doesn't have to try to be any of these things, he just is, these qualities are embodied in who he is. If the network execs. are on their toes, they will make sure Mr.Gunn comes back next season. To not realize the show would be only half a show without him, would be a grievous oversight on their part!!

Maybe Tim realized the show was going down hill when Jeffry won. Last season was ridiculous. I liked that the show started out about the talent, now it is like every other reality show. Good for Tim.

Tim is what keeps Project Runway from Running Away! He is like the Den Mother trying to keep peace, not showing favoritism and JUST MAKING IT WORK! I believe Bravo Execs had be the one's to "MAKE IT WORK" by working with Tim Gunn's schedule!

Listen up Bravo... Make it work! The show will not be the same without Tim. I, for one, would be extremely dissapointed and not as enthused to watch the show if Tim is not part of it.

Tim Gunn contributes so much to the Project Runway. He makes the difference between watching the contestants competing to win, and competing to win with style.

Jeffrey's winning underscored for viewers that, yep, there sure are some talented S.O.B.s in the fashion industry. Emphasis on the S.O.B. Tim Gunn offered a genteel counterpart to Jeffrey's post-heroin addiction manners that assured us reality TV does not have to dwell in the stinking swamps.

Ice-cold mistress Heidi Klum isn't enough of a draw for me to return next season if Tim isn't there. Without Tim, Project Runway won't be half a show -- it will be a totally different show. Maybe Michael Kors will step up? Nina Garcia? Is there enough money in the world?

Tim Gunn is the one touch of class and style on Runway. Without Tim, there is no Runway and I will no longer watch.

I agree! Pleeeeeasssse, the show won't work without Tim Gunn. Or Michael Kors for that matter. Nina- not so sure....She's good but a bit dour and projects that fashion world pretension at times. Gunn and Kors demonstrate to me that you don't have to have a narrow world orientation to be in that field (my bad prior unconscious projection). They are so perceptive and show they have depth and a wide world view, beyond the fashion surface type stuff.

MY DEAR SIR,
YOU ARE THE CLASS OF CLASS. AND WILL BE MISSED BY ALL. BUT TO KNOW...IF YOU FIND TIME IN YOUR BUSY SCHEDULE, YOU BETTER GET YOUR SWEET SELF OVER TO THE NEW SCHOOL AND BE APART OF THIS WONDERFUL PROJECT...CALLED RUNWAY.
SOMEWHERE DOWN THE ROAD, MAYBE MY DAUGHTER WILL BE APART OF THIS FUN...PROJECT RUNWAY, AS SHE TOO GOES TO THE NEW SCHOOL...
GIVING A SHOUT OUT TO NATASHA MAGARIEL...AS SHE ATTENDS THE NEW SCHOOL.
BUT MY HEART IS WITH YOU..THE DEN MOTHER... OF THESE CRAZY BUNCH OF ARTIST. THAT YOU SHINE SO WELL WITH, MY DEAR.

But... but... but it's TIM!!! "Make it Work" Man!!! I don't know if I could watch a season without him... I love that show. But it's not that show without Tim Gunn! (Even if they tend to kick off everyone I think has promise by halfway through the show... saving only a few imho decent designers... Honestly, they could get rid of the judges, I'm okay with that.)

::sigh:: I'll have to deal I guess... unless the next host really sucks then I might just have to drop the show all together. Man it used to be really good...

"This scares me!" "Make it work!" "Oh, Jesus!" and what ever ELSE Tim had said when something is amiss in the sewing work room! Tim is an important part of the show. He holds it together. The designers adore and respect him,, no matter how much back stabbing ( among other horrors pertaining to their personalities ) occur. He adds grace, style, intelligence, honesty and, most of all CLASS to the show.

Tim.. Do NOT leave.. Please.. "CARRY ON!"
