Another year, another fresh start, another chance to get inspired to amp up your personal style. My beauty resolutions are simple but somehow it's always necessary to remind myself of some of these each year.

1. Get control of the brows. My whole life has been a battle of the brows. I have big Brooke-Shields-in-the-1980s brows. Like myself, some years they are thin and some years they are fatter than they should be. This year's goal is simple, pick a brow style and stick with it. Buy myself some Anastasia products and learn what sort of brow I should actually have to flatter my face. And above all, don't get bored some Saturday night and decide that pencil-thin brows would be fun for a change.

2. Clean my face day and night. I'm usually pretty good on this but sometimes I forget. My current routine involves using Philosophy's Purity in the mornings and Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser at night. Also, eye cream, every day, those crow's feet aren't getting any smaller.

3. Use my pumice stone more regularly, especially in sandal season. No one likes elephant heels.

4.Drink more water, especially on nights when I am cocktailing it up.

5. And this one should be one for everyone. SPF whenever outdoors. As Anne mentioned before, 30 is better than 15 when it comes to your sun protection factor.
