Shoved in with the bill for a new camisole I bought last week was a flyer for On Gossamer's new "Luxury Liner" which hits the market in mid-February. To tell you the truth, I couldn't quite figure out what On Gossamer was trying to sell with this new promotion. The Luxury Liner flyer had some sort of smoothing sailing nautical theme, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out what the actual luxury liner was -- was it a thong? was it a panty (eek -- I hate that word) liner?
I logged onto OnGossamer.com to find out, but unfortunately On Gossamer's website was still under construction. Turning to the standby Google search, I eventually stumbled across an answer.
It turns out that the Luxury Liner is a thong/panty that contains an extra absorbent wick-stop liner that presumably acts like a built-in pantyliner for the dubious days of the month. The Luxury Liner bikini sells for $19, which is only $2-3 more than On Gossamer's other undies.
No doubt On Gossamer invested gads of money into the development of this project. So it's a shame they didn't also invest in an ad campaign that was slightly more transparent. As a rule of thumb, if I have to do a Google search to figure what it is, I'm definitely not going to buy it.
