Uptown girl, she's been living in a paranoid world

Divorces are complicated even in the best of circumstances. Thus, a divorce unfolding in front of the media is probably enough to make you go crazy, especially when you are splitting from an unfaithful cad who cheated on you with the babysitter.

Just the same, after hearing some of the legal details of the Peter Cook/ Christie Brinkley split, she's acting a little crazy. For instance, the judge in the case recently ordered the pair to remain civil for the sake of their children. The reason? Apparently, Brinkley refused to sign an agreement until her soon-to-be ex agreed that he would not take their children on commercial airplanes during level-red terror alerts.

OK, I know you're hurting, but get some perspective, Christie!

Of all the things parents have to worry about in the world, it's a little nuts to be obsessing over plane flights during terror alerts. I mean, when was the last time we even had a level red terror alert? In fact, I don't even think we've had one yet because that's the level that permits the government to declare martial law? If we ever find ourselves in a level-red situation, I think you're going to have a lot more to worry about than whether or not your kids are flying to Cape Cod.
