But do you have to BE Rich and Skinny to wear these jeans?
There are a couple of brands out there that have names that by themselves suggest something about the wearer. My favorite is, of course, Young, Fabulous and Broke. The brand is geared toward exactly that: women who are young, broke (or nearly broke), and are/want-to-be fabulous. Now we have a line of jeans called Rich and Skinny, from the drawing boards of Michael Glasser and Joie Rucker. The name sounds slightly obnoxious. You definitely have to be rich to wear the jeans, as a pair of any of the 13 styles in a wide range of rich colors for spring will run close to $200.
However, Rich and Skinny jeans are neither only made for skinny women, nor are they all "skinny" like the red pair shown. In fact, the Lush Boot-Cut Trousers have a pretty tremendous flare, something I've been wearing anyway all through the skinny-jean trend. Hooray!
Now all I have to do is somehow combine that "Broke" part with "Rich and Skinny."
