Drugstore Beauty Queen: Smith's Rosebud Salve
If the fashion forecasters are right and the era of the enormous handbag is coming to a close, then you might have to rethink that veritable cosmetics counter you are carrying around in your purse. If you have to do some space budgeting and are restricted to a few essentials, make sure that Smith's Rosebud Salve from Bigelow Chemists is one of the keepers. The salve is most commonly used as a lip balm, but I happen to have fairly dry skin, and dab the stuff on dry patches on my face and even on my hands. Sure, it has a floral fragrance, which is something I normally don't like, especially on my lips, where the idea of "eating" flowers grosses me out, but the rose scent is pretty light, and after a while, I don't notice it.

Hmm, my comments never seem to make it, but what the hey. I love this stuff. Don't use/buy it nearly enough. I too used it for dry skin in places other than my lips. A friend of mine turned me onto it. She would use it EVERYWHERE. The most unusual being ashy elbows...
