NY Fashion Week, Three Word Reviews, Part 2

2/7/2007 1:24PM by Deidre Woollard

Today's shows as seen on Style.com brought both comfort and high fashion. On the comfort side Adam + Eve delivered a world of wool and softness, Chris Benz delivered sexy student wear and Max Azria did sweetly chic outfits. On the glamour tip, Carolina Herrera did her usual ladylike bit but with a darker edge, Isaac Mizrahi whipped up frothy, feathery fantasies, Jovovich-Hawk did vintage thrift so vividly that you can practically smell the mothballs, Marchesa brought red carpet ready beauties and then there was Oscar de la Renta whose designs are meant for the woman with the limitless budget. The show of the day to watch, if you are in the mood for a slideshow is definitely Marc Jacobs. Those wide hats, the vivid colors, the varied silhouettes and a parade of looks that seem both relatively ordinary and oddly fabulous.
