Cargo's corn lipsticks
Modern life creates a lot of trash. Just ask yourself how many computer have you gone through since 1995? Or how many cell phones have tossed out since the mobile revolution began? Most importantly, just think about how many lipsticks have you gone through in your lifetime? For most women, that number is probably pretty high. The worst part is that all of those old plastic tubes are still sitting around in a landfill. CARGO cosmetics is doing its part to reduce the amount of waste generated by cosmetics. The company recently released the world's first biodegradable lipstick tube. Instead of plastic, these botanical lipsticks are made from polyactic acid, a polymer that is created from corn. Unlike the petroleum used to create plastic, the corn used to create the Plantlove lipstick grows back in 100 days, which is slightly less time than the tube itself takes to biodegrade.
The Plantlove lipsticks were designed by six earth-friendly celebs including Lindsay Lohan, Evangeline Lilly and Mariska Hargitay. Two dollars from each sale will go to St. Jude Children's Hosptial.

Sounds like a good idea. There is a great natural lipstick that you should try- Primitive Makeup. www.primitivemakeup.com. It is wonderfully emollient, and has no chemicals or preservatives other than those created by mother earth herself. The colors are wonderful- when you try it, you will love it, I promise!
