Jennifer Hudson's Vogue cover: Fun with Photoshop?
Vogue is notoriously skittish about putting overly curvy women on its cover, so I was pleasantly surprised to hear that Jennifer Hudson would be gracing the cover of the March issue. And then I wondered just how Anna Wintour and her teeny-tiny goddesses of style would arrange Hudson's generous proportions. The answer was revealed with a peek at the cover.Gawker says Photoshop, but I say this is mainly a camera issue, the standard trick of having the things you want to appear smaller placed as far away from the lens as possible. I'm sure Annie Leibovitz had an eye toward thinness in composing this shot and the other pics. All around the web, controversy is swirling over the shots, possible airbrushing and whether Jennifer Hudson even "belongs" on the cover of Vogue. She's a babe but I think that just about every red carpet photo I have seen of her is more flattering than this shot.

Sorry, you got it wromg! Hudson's star power resides almost entirely in the sexiest, toothiest grin to come along since....I don't know who. It's all about her energy and when she opens that big mouth to sing....no one since Streisand has had that impact! I think Liebowitz got it exactly right.
