Yep, you read the headline correctly this morning. The media -- ahem -- "empire" known as Girls Gone Wild has gone the way of fashion design. Or at least as "fashion design" as one could imagine it could go.
The news was out at least a month ago, but it was only this past week at the MAGIC show in Vegas where GGW man Joe Francis launched the collection. The line includes swimsuits, sweatsuits, sandals and tops. As WWD points out, it's a little ironic that a company whose motto is "when clothing isn't optional" is making clothes. And though the line does include lingerie, according to TMZ, "the clothes are surprisingly tame, given the company's other product line ... and the threads aren't see-through or snap-off."
