Juan Carlos Obando showed his Fall 2007 collection at Smashbox Studios on Sunday afternoon, and everyone watching it might as well have been wearing ultra dark glasses. The collection was basically all black and white. I wasn't particularly fond of the odd, highly structured ruffle that trimmed hemlines and cuffs on some of the dresses because they looked like window valances, but the point of femininity was taken. My favorite look of course, was all-black -- a simple knee-length dress with cropped jacket and long black gloves.
