Will Posh's jeans pass the J-Lo test?

British Vogue reported last week that singer/dancer/actress Jennifer Lopez will test drive Victoria Beckham's new line of denim. In an act of celebrity charity/self-promotion, Jenny from the Block will serve as the gold standard that determines whether or not Posh's jeans are curve-friendly.

Between banning size-0 models in her runway show and harnessing the famous booty of J-Lo, it's clear that Posh has done all she can to roll out a body-positive marketing scheme for her new line of jeans.

But I just don't think it's going to work. You may act like you want us to feel good about ourselves with J-Lo and a team of bigger models, but we know you just want to sell us a pair of pants.

I just saw J-Lo on American Idol, and she is thinner than ever, so I don't know how she is going to be a role model for the curvy.

This is so pathetic. Here you have Victoria Beckham who is the poster child for anorexia. And she has the gall to try and play off that she is supporting larger model types like JLo??!!
Victoria is nothing but a big "0".
I am sick of seeing her ugly, siliconed, botoxed, chicken ass everywhere these days. And who gives a rats ass if her egotistical husband is playing or living here in the states now??!! He is nothing but a arrogant ass himself. You can tell that just by looking at him.

I am sick and tired of the illusion these celebrities put on when they think the middle class people of the world think they look like this naturally.

Example: Any one see the cover this week of a magazine with Janet Jackson on it? Well if this isnt a load of crap.
This cover and JJ really thinks I am going to believe that she lost all that weight in a matter of 16 weeks and got so fit without any surgical intervention or cosmetic enhancement what so ever??!!!!!!!!!
These magazines and the celebrities that cover them really think society is full of a bunch of stupid people. Janet? know you look good now because you were caught (fatass and all) on the beach working out with your trainer. You went into a tizzy when they smacked that image on the front cover of some mags. Then you played off that you got that fat because of a movie role that went sour. What a load of crap! You then went straight for making a surgery appt to get lypo'd and everything else. I can only imagine how much surgery you really had to make that transformation in only 16 weeks.
Is it really such a bad thing to be honest with the world and admit you are like everyone else??
Celebrities are all fake, bottom line!

We think this is a bad move on Posh's part it does not seem sincere and that exactly she just wants to sell jeans.

think this one is going to back fire on her. At this point don't even think if the jeans look good on the runway they will sell. She is not the right spokesperson or "designer".

have fun

Who cares. Why does she need to spend all her money on clothes and try to be as thin as possible? Something must be missing from her life feel sorry for her not envy. It's a shame she does no good with what she has been given she should be trying to help the people. Her world is all about her not even her children get her love.

So J-lo is going to model the jeans.. that's no stretch for curvy women! She's just as small as the other size 2 girls! So she's not a ZERO! She's still a very small woman and Victoria Skeletor Beckham is just trying to pretend she's all for the bigger girls. She's a walking stick with two fake boobs and a sneer on her face where ever she goes. Who wants to buy jeans from that? I think England got sick of them and their snooty ways and now they are trying to make a go of things here in America.. what a joke. . she's a snobbish anorexic thing that no normal woman wants to look like. She has PHONEY screaming from her bones!

Skeletal Posh, would look a heck of a lot sexier and "poshier" if she would be friendlier to her body and develop some curves. I am sure that hubby would agree that JLo will fill out those jeans in a much more pleasing and "bootylicious" way than the bony hiney of his wife.

If they are more curve friendly great! but I seriously doubt someone who is that thin know just which curves to accentuate. The only "celeb" that has a decent line of jeans for curvy women is nelly and his apple bottom line.

Michele-You seem to be up on all the celebrity gossip, and yet spit such hate! Why bother reading about them if you cant stand them? It sounds to me like you are a bit of a hypocrite! My theory-If you dont like it, dont read it! And for goodness sakes, it's not that big of a deal, so why get yourself all worked up over it? They dont care what you do, why would they care what you say? Relax, and worry about something more important, like the environment or war...thats a serious matter to get worked up about...not celebrity gossip!!

Does anyone get it? WE'RE A FAT NATION! We can't stop eating! We're eating our way into being the SICKEST COUNTRY - how long before the formerly known as "Ms. Curvy" are called "Ms. diabetic" and "Ms. Walking heart attack"?

Do you know how much it will cost to keep you alive? In the next 10 years this country will shell out millions of dollars on preventable illnesses. Instead of eating everything that is marketed to you, you'll be eating handfuls of big pharma's pills with awful side-effects.

We were never this "Curvy" - or this wasteful.

I agree with the blogs about the choice of model being too skinny and as we can clearly see most folks across the nation are not that thin. It's sad the eating habits, so much starch and so little exercise! If they just did a few simple healthy things to keep in shape it would make a big difference. Water is great for losing weight and it fills you up, and swimming makes it easy to lose weights as well so they can get into those lovely jeans. But it's silly to have these thin women promote these jeans it's not really hitting the mark in reaching the targeted customers.

Well it's great to see that you're all smart AND grumpy over the fact that show biz is nothing but hype.....as in hyperbole. If we fcous on the REALITY of our lives, i.e., ourselves, our thoughts and keeping our money in our own pockets, Jenny and the rest will have to get jobs at Walmarts while we support one another and enjoy our families, friends and lovers or whomever.. hahaha to Hollyfakewood!!!!

I think we pay attention to Hollywood to much now-a-days. They have the means to weigh 90lbs by plastic surgery and normal america we have 9-5 jobs, kids, school ect. We all could look like that if we had personal trainers ,personal assistants at our beckon call 24-7. You know what i would rather live in my world where i know what is real and true and not the life of a Hollywood wannabe where friends and family are fake. As for Posh and her line of jeans I am sure most americans wont be able to afford them anyway. So she can keep her "Curvy Jeans" and stick 'em where the sun don't shine.

well lets see - Im thinking Posh is a size o already so why would she want to appeal to curvier women - which cracks me up because Jennifer Lopez is what we consider curvy? she looks great to me & she looks healthy & fit & thin yet America calls her curvy. I was told at our lunch table that a size 6 was "a cow size". Funny how I have struggled all my life and it felt great to finally be a 6 but now that is still not small enough.

Sucks.

Just curious, if Posh is so into curves and making natural curvy people feel good, then why is she continuing to starve herself and be a stick??

WHY do the great stars with great ass's make it famous and you never see the ass that made them famous again ? WHY would J-Lo care about some pan-cake white girl ass and her jeans ? Let Serena Williams and J-LO team up and make their own BIG BOOTY jeans, then us real ass lovers will be happy, forget the flat ass's, WE WANT MEAT !

Its funny how curvy has now become the def of a woman with the standard curves when it use to be woman who werent a size 2. Like M Monroe had curves. Beyonce when before Dream girls was curvy.

I don't understand how Posh got where she is today. She has to be one of the ugliest women I have ever seen...hair, face, body, clothes, etc. There is NOTHING attractive about her.
As far as JLO...she is gorgeous!!!! She is talented, beautiful and has a body to die for.
