Adjustable breast implants: for just the right size

I'll be honest, I don't think breast enlargement looks very good. I recognize, however, that I may be in the minority on this, so for those of you looking to "enhance" your look with a little augmentation, now you can get the size just right with these adjustable implants.

At first I thought this meant women would be able to make their boobs bigger or smaller depending on their mood, but unfortunately it's a one-time only sort of fix. The deal is, you get your implants, but the doctor leaves a little plastic tube in there, just in case you're not happy. If -- after a couple days of real-world experience -- you'd like to expand upon your original idea, the doc can inject (or remove, presumably) boob goo until the breasts have reached a size you're satisfied with. Then s/he removes the plastic tube, and voila!

Joking aside, if you're going to bother with this procedure in the first place, you might as well be happy with the results.

What I like is the new one that is made in the teardrop shape (found on the website link) that more closely resembles the "mature" shapes. There are so many implants that just don't look natural due to the "too perfect round-filled ball" shape and this may solve that issue!

Debra, Please realize that this type of news blog, tend to bring out sexually frustrated male idiots of all ages. By the looks of the stupid comment the first poster made, he couldn't possibly have enough intelligence to understand the magnatude of breast cancer -- much less care about what it does to a woman and her family. Perhaps "Joe" needs to be reminded that there millions of men out there who have bigger boobs than most women. Maybe Joe could go on a one-man campaign to encourage these guys to get breast reduction surgery. Women do not find men with big hooters, sexy or attractive!

Boob goo, what a dope, it's either saline or silicone and I don't think the article had anything to do with reconstructive surgery, it's just one person's opinion on cosmetic surgery. And what's up with the doppy Rosie comment? It has nothing to do with the subject matter...

I have nothing against ladies with implants in general, but I just wish some weren't so fake looking. I hate to see thin or skinny women who have a size thats too big for their frame and you can see the edge of the baloon or sack or whatever its called. Its kinda gross.

All joking aside - we read books to our children about accepting our uniqueness or differences... "accept yourself, you're beautiful... it's okay to be different" Yet as adults we're hypocrites - we feel insecure and sucumb to pressure to conform to a dictated beauty. We seek acceptance by modifying who we are.

What do we tell our children when they ask why we are changing our appearance (hair / breast implants)? What do we say to our 13 year old daughter when she comes home crying because other girls say she's flat chested?... Of course we would tell her - "sweetheart, you are perfect, God's own creation, don't ever forget that".

As adults we forget that - and the cycle continues.

I had breast implants and although i loved them, I developed terrible complications from them. A lot of people do and it is not talked about much. Mine looked great. Whether cosmetic or not, it is a woman's choice. I would still have them if I could.

Also the tear drop ones tend to flip over, so that's why a lot of women go with the round ones. You really have to know what you're doing before you pick which kind you want. I miss my boobies

Ironic, isn't it, how the topic of this blog is breast size and up pops a hate filled boob interjecting a non sequitur about Rosie?

Robert is a big fat idiot...oh and just to remain on topic, I find the concept of adjustable implants interesting from an engineering standpoint, but it begs the question as to what the limits of human narcissism truly are.

Aw, man! I really wanted this to be, like, breast implants you could adjust yourself by pushing a button. If you were going into the office and you didn't want to be leered at, you'd deflate them. If you were going out to a club, you could go up a few sizes. Man, that'd be great.

The tear drops ones flip over? Wonder why. Mine just sink under my armpits and disappear. That's the joys of real ones.

I believe this is a good idea for those women wanting breast implants. I've had several friends who have had the procedure and I'm sure this would have made the choice of "B", "C", or "D" alot less taxing. I also have to agree with others, it is a personal choice for women. We should be self confident and love who we are, but who is to say you shouldn't solve a physcial problem that bothers you? That is a personal choice! Do you wear makeup? Do you try to keep up and wear the latest fashion trends? We all conform to society in one form or another. It is the nature of the beast. We all want to be LIKED! I'm personally thankful I live in a country that allows me to express my opions and as a women make those decisions for myself!!!

i was just perfectly blessed by god and genetics, and i really don't like implants and would never get any for myself. i have friends, though, that were really out of proportion (way small) and implants brought them into balance. and friends who battled breast cancer and won, and have the battle scars (and implants) to show for it. they should have the best ever created, i would never deny any woman her femininity. but why mangle you body just for showing off? i don't get it.
