Bronzer is the best way to add a healthy, island getaway glow to your skin. But how do you decide which powder, spray, cream or gel you should use? Well, it all comes down to the type of skin you have.
If You Have Dry Skin
I suggest using cream or spray bronzers. I like to blend them on with a non-latex sponge so they look even and natural. Start by applying the bronzer at your temples, along the hairline and right under the cheekbones for a natural contoured look. For the look of a deeper tan, blend a subtle amount on the center of your forehead and across the bridge of your nose.

If You Have Oily Skin
People with oily skin do better with powder and gel formulas. You will want to use a big fluffy powder brush to sweep on a powder bronzer in the same areas I mentioned above. If you go with a gel formula, use a sponge or your fingers to blend the radiant tint into your skin.

If Your Skin Is Normal
Normal skin can get away with using any of these formulas. I never like to cover the entire face because you can wind up looking dirty. It is best to strategically place the bronzer for the most natural look. No matter what color your complexion, choose bronzers that are about three shades darker than your skin tone. If you go any darker than that, you will run the risk of looking like a bronze statue.

I love to pair bronzers with sheer
pink lips and cheeks for a really great spring/summer look. Apply a pop of pink blush right on the apples of the cheeks and slick on sheer pink gloss to make your bronzer look amazing and alive not monochromatic.
If You Have Mature Skin
Bronzer is a great way to bring radiance back into over-40 skin but stay away from formulas that contain the harsh glittery particles that come in a lot of bronzers. The best way to see if they do is to test a bronzer on your wrist and walk out in the sunlight. If it's shimmering like a disco ball stay away. If it looks radiant and glowing it is the right one.
