Bebe is funfun for Summer 2007

Last week, Fashion TV celebrated their 10-year anniversary in LA with a fashion show featuring Bebe's Summer 2007 line at The Social in Hollywood. I got to go because I'm special like that, and by "special," I mean I somehow weaseled my way in.
Bebe's Summer 2007 collection is mostly fun and flirty, with lots of bright colos and short short short (did I say "short?") hemlines. There were no surprises with respect to silhouettes, as everything basically riffed on Spring's styles.
A gorgeous emerald green dress with high neckline and rosettes at the collar caught my attention, though I am already getting pretty tired of the bubble hemline. Had the dress been styled more like a tent (which sounds utterly unattractive, I know), I probably would have put that as my favorite.
There were shorts paired with swingy, flirty tops, short "suits," and my favorite look of the show - a white pantsuit that the model wore without anything underneath the jacket. Of course, I would never the thing with flat thong sandals, but I loved the look regardless.
The show ended with a parade of jewel-toned trench coats worn as dresses. A trench as a dress seems a little much for summer, but hey, if you're wearing a bikini underneath, I guess that's okay.
I'll probably pick up a few things from Bebe for summer.
