Help! Crocs have Taken Over Disney!

Pirate CrocsThe only croc I can fully accept at Disney is Captain Hook's nemesis. I can barely tolerate the normal-colored Crocs on the feet of tourists. Imagine my horror when I went to Disney World this last Saturday and found the entire place invaded by Crocs... and not just normal-ugly Crocs, but special-ugly Crocs.

For example, in the Pirates of the Caribbean gift shop, I found these orangey-red and black pairs riddled with nearly unidentifiable skulls and crossbones. Then, when I stepped outside, I saw some obnoxiously colored Crocs with Mickey-shaped holes.

Oh, when will the Crocs madness end? Granted, they're super-comfortable, but Crocs, I don't know, cheapen every outfit. Keep them off if you're doing more than making a 15-minute run for milk. I have no idea how long this has been going on, but, frankly, I am appalled that Disney has allowed Crocs to infiltrate their land and spread the evil to the kiddies.

Won't someone please think of the children?!

Get over it already...Crocs are here to stay. They have many styles to choose from and are by far the most comfortable shoe around. They're FUN and in alot of places, HIP. Join the bandwagon or just get left behind...

Guess what? it's not all about how you look... being comfortable is much more condusive to having a good time, and when you walk several miles at the disney parks during a day- comfort is a huge plus! So, stop being so superficial and worried about how you look; put on some cool, comfortable shoes and go have a good time with your family!

Crocs rock! I bought my first pair because it was what I could get a swollen foot from a badly sprained ankle into. But no, they don't go with everything. Unless of course you shine them up with a little Armour All!

"Think of the children"? How retarded is that? They are thinking of the children. Giving them shoes that don't hurt the balls of their feet and having cute characters on them. Most kids don't care about fashion, even if they do crocs look cool in their eyes.

I agree, Crocs are the UGLIEST things I have ever seen! It's official we Americans have become the laziest people on earth! Buy a pair of flip flops if you want to throw something on quick, or buy a pair of sneakers.

Stop being lazy and bend over and tie your shoes! What would Clinton and Stacy say??!

Crocs were originally made for gardeners so they could be hosed off after being out in the garden with the mud, mulch and compost, Crocs will never be a fashion statement as far as this South Jersey girl is concerned. I don't know one person who has them, and everyone I do know thinks they are horrible.

BAN CROCS NOW!

I am a diabetic and these shoes are comfortable and don't put pressure on my toes . You may have seen my blue ones at WDW last week .

I just don't get them...I tried on a pair and they made my feet sweat almost INSTANTLY. What kind of fashion statement is that??

That said: 1. Who the heck cares what anyone else wants to wear on their feet? I think it's idiotic to wear pointy-toed FMP's that either squeeze your toes or make your feet look bigger, but if someone wants to wear them, it's their feet (and that's what Stacey and Clinton recommend--love the show...still hate the shoes!)
2. I don't think jerseygirl gets out much if she doesn't know anyone who has them....unless it's just that they're epidemic here in Florida!

I'm sorry, but these things are great. I wear the Avon ones, since I'm a rep, and I love them. They don't pinch or make my feet hurt. I'm a diabetic, and they are nice and wide, and have massaging insoles. I have 5 pair, and love them. Toss in the washer when they are dirty. Wear in the garden, around the house, or shopping. Keep your flip flops, sandals, or shoes that squash your toes.

Crocs are GREAT!! They are so comfortable. As far as I am concerned, let them come in all the designs that they can think of. Kids love them, and so do the grown-ups. GO CROCS!!!

I really didn't like the way Crocs looked when I first saw them either, but then I put a pair on and WOW. They are the only shoes that I wear to work now. I'm a cashier at a grocery store & standing for a 6-8 hour shift is not bad anymore. I tried tennis shoes and I even had a couple of expensive pairs of shoes that are supposed to help people with foot problems, but the Crocs were the best. Most of the time I go for comfort, not style, but Crocs are in style now. All I ask is if you are going to wear them with shorts or capris please don't wear socks with them. That looks even more ridiculous than sandals with socks. I have to say though I love my Crocs!!

Then don't wear them. Stop complaining because obviously your opinion matters less to the people buying them than it does to others. They are comfortable, easily used in the water in lakes or showers where things are gross, and they are easy on your feet when walking a lot. They are making money and obviously Disney sees this and wants to cash in.

OK enough about NOT liking CROCS. I too had to be cajoled into purchasing them and after picking a bright pink pair everyone either loves them or hates them. BUT they have made me a believer someone who likes stylish clothing could not phathom wearing them but get over it and wear them in the summer they are more comfortable than some sneakers and with Jibbitz button plugs everyone compliments me on how cute they are. Everyone is allowed to voice their own opinion but if you try them you will probably like them. IM NOT SO SURE about the black and red skull ones at the top of this article but the Mickey Mouse ones are adorable. Who cares what Clinton and Stacey say they are on that show to make money wearing Crocs for Saturday errands or to the pool is fine by me. A great conversation starter too.

I think Crocs are fantastic! Also, take a look at the website youbycrocs.com This is a look at some of the new fall fashions scheduled to come out in the fall. If you don't like any of these then you don't have a clue about Crocs!

I do not like Crocs. They're goofy and they don't fit my feet right. But I'll second the above comment about the ones from Avon. I love mine. And they were on sale for $10 to boot.

let me tell you--CROCS are the greatest!!! I am a letter carrier for the post office in Florida- on my feet at least 50 hrs. a week at work. When I come home I want to be comfy--especially when I go out shopping or playing. I used to wear birks but Crocs are so much better! Give me comfort over fashion any day. When your feet hurt EVERYTHING HURTS!

Jerseygirl, we may be lazy Americans, but the Croc craze is all over Europe. It's not just American tourists wearing them either.
