"Too sexy for my bus"

Every now and then you manage to pull off something that looks really good. Maybe it's the outfit, maybe it's the extra 15 minutes you did at the gym last night, or maybe you're just having a killer hair day -- but have you ever looked so good you were too hot for public transportation?

You wish.

That, however, is exactly what happened to a German woman, who was nearly thrown off a bus by a driver who thought she was too sexy.

The woman told Germany's Bild newspaper: "Suddenly he stopped the bus ... He opened the door and shouted at me 'Your cleavage is distracting me every time I look into my mirror and I can't concentrate on traffic. If you don't sit somewhere else, I'm going to have to throw you off the bus."'

Now, while I understand that a low-cut top can make it difficult for men to focus, if this guy couldn't do his job because he found it impossible to quit staring, it sounds like his real problem is that he's kinda pervy.

In the end, the woman wasn't thrown off, as she opted to move seats for the duration of her commute. But, as you might suspect, she was humiliated.

I am a man-and I do think women have the right to wear what they want at the workplace, I do believe in equality between the sexes, but some women do use their sexuality to their advantage at work. some women deliberately dress sexy to distract men at work - they enjoy using that power they have and now that men are even afraid to stare or make any comment about it because of sexual harrassment laws women nowadays are free to wear whatever they want in the office and that is why much more women now are showing more cleavage, tight blouses, push up bras - they are flaunting it - - what am I supposed to do when all around me are flashing cleavages, bouncing breasts, skimpy tops, I get horny, I cant help it, it arouses sexual thoughts in me and it distracts me from my work. I try hard not to stare because I know women wouldn’t like that but its hard,- Ladies is this fair what you are doing to men? Tell me what you think- Id like to get a ladys opinion

I agree. The onus is on the bus driver for being a perv. Imagine a NYC bus driver trying to pull that?
Hey, Big and I figured out if your comment doesn't go through the first time (no email) post it again. And if the email link doesn't produce the comment, click THAT again. Usually works.
We have wayyy too much time on our hands.

Don't believe (to much) the stories from "BILD". It's the stupidest newspaper in Germany (I speak from the frontline). Nearly everything is exaggerated. If you understand german, search for "BILD BLOG" on Google and check it up. It's a private page with the stories from BLIG, but realistic investigated and correct details.

Whether a female should or should not isn't my point. Whether or not it is wise, mature or rational is not my point. My point-my question-is why would she WANT to dress like a street walker. Why would she WANT to look like a whore? AlaPiano

I actually think that was honest/sincere. Seems like the problem was resolved without having her get off the bus. She solved her own problem. Maybe this might be cause for women to think about what they wear!

Just because a woman wears a low cut top does NOT mean that she is dressed like a whore or a streetwalker. We as women have the right to dress as we please and we should NEVER be automatically judged { as was the case in the above coment} or harassed because of our attire.

I AM a woman, we can't get upset for someone looking at our tops when we wear stuff like that. I mean you don't wear a low cut shirt because you think no one will look at your breasts do you? exactly.

I'm a woman who just got home from the Red Sox game and I have never seen so many bazooms in my life. Since when did even a baseball game be the place for these woman to flaunt there goods......mostly paid for I might add. They put them out there on display but then the guys are called pigs for looking! How are we supposed to be taken seriously with such rediculous behavior? If you put them out EVERYONE is going to look so either get used to it or cover them up! You mother would be so proud! (And no, I'm not a bitter flat chester...God gave me 36C's and I only put them on display for the right audiance!!)

That would be like a man who has a big package and wears really really tight pants, and a bus driver woman says to him, " Your package is distracting me every time I look into my mirror and I can't concentrate on traffic. If you don't sit somewhere else, I'm going to have to throw you off the bus."'
Sounds as stupid as the cleavage story.

I've been riding the public bus for 30+ years now. True, many drivers have kept their eyes on a specific pasanger for an exrea few seconds, but most of the drivers I've ever had have kept their eyes ON THE ROAD. Where did this driver find the extra time to stare like that? He is endangering passangers by letting his male-ego loose. He should be FIRED!

This sounds like a discussion I once heard centering on sexual harassment in the workplace. Let's face it, a woman's breasts are a private part, and a big turn-on to men. That is essentially a fact of human nature as it more deeply relates to procreation, not perversion. By comparison, If a man lowered his pants zipper half way, why would that then be considered obscene?
It's always the man who's considered perverted--I never understood it?

Mini skirts and tattoos on the spine are yet other visual stimulants that men must quietly suppress. By now, women understand what drives men crazy--yet they continue to dress provocative. Maybe that's why countries such as those in the Middle East eliminate that problem by ensuring that the American dress code is not followed! I'm not advocating veils for women here, but equality for both sexes as it pertains to dressing in public places. The damage has been done for way too many years, to now attempt to reverse it. Women have the green light to dress as provocative as they like and men continue to look forward to it until they are made to feel like a pervert-- when it triggers off a testosterone surge. It might be time for a change, a change that only the likes of another female such as the infamous Dr. Ruth could make happen: Maybe the subliminal voice of morality should now echo, "Oh you shameless perverted lady, versus; you dirty nasty boy."

If I see women who have half their assets hanging out i ALWAYS tell them i say something like you shouilfnt wear that to work or you shouldnt be wearing that in a public places...some tell me to MMOB and i tell them it is my business when they are being an exhibitionist.Sometimes i ask them if thier father or mother knows they left the house like that. But its not the worst thing i see people wearing printed pajamas in stores now baggy things yes they are pajamas and also see young me whose underwear shows and seen women working in stores bending over and they crack of their ass is their in broad daylight its called being uninhibited tp them to me its called being an exhibitionist. wanting people to see your ass etc

Actually, a woman's breast isn't necessarily a private part. That's a societal thing. In tribes where women walked around with their breasts hanging out all day, and men walked around with their package exposed all day, you don't see a tribe full of men with hard packages. It's societal conditioning.

Im a very small girl with natural large breast and most people are perverts, it doesnt matter what I wear everyone looks at my chest. Turtle necks still make people look at my chest when im talking If people cant control themselves, maybe they should be banned from working with the public, The thought of the bus driver being defended is as stupid as the man getting off from raping a girl who was laying out in the sun at HER house in a bikini many years ago.
