Believe or not, my first pair of premium denim was Miss Sixty acid wash jeans. I saved up my hard earned cashed and scooped them up; I still have those jeans today. Another thing you may not believe is that I am fashion psychic. I did it with the wide legs jeans on Lindsay Lohan (that particular cut has been dubbed an LA must-have) and you will find that I am about to do it again with acid wash jeans. You see, two weeks ago I stepped into my closet to try on my acid wash jeans. No idea why, but they were calling me. I slopped them on (and they still fit) and thought these babies are making a comeback. I didn't wear them that day because I hadn't yet mastered the "look" I wanted.
Fast forward to this morning. I open up my issue of Nylon magazine and flip right to The Acid Test article. According to Nylon (and me) the '80s staple will be set to turn heads again this coming Fall. Brands like Superfine, Lux, Habitual, and Corpus will be "taking acid" with their new denim collections. Nylon advises that you don't spend too much on your acid wash jeans because this isn't something you can wear everyday and will most likely go out of style quickly.
How do you wear your acid wash jeans? Carefully. You do not want to look like some '80s punk from the street. Try mixing punk inspired accessories with something a little more preppy on top. Have fun with your flashback, er ... look.
