A new way to get into your skinny jeans

Jessica Alba skinny jeansThin is in.

But it's a shame dieting can be so boring and exercise, for the most part, is such a chore. However, fashion fan and skinny girl Jessica Alba might have found a way around the boredom. Alba, who apparently shuns diets and personal trainers, has taken up a Nintendo Wii workout.

Nintendo Wii is the must-have video game console that works up a sweat. (Yep, a gaming system that isn't associated with sitting on your behind wasting the day away.) Nintendo Wii isn't just for dudes either. With Wii tennis and Wii boxing you can burn about 560 calories per hour. Nintendo is even coming out with a new game called Wii Fit that will be just like having a personal trainer.

Gaming fitness is a bandwagon I can certainly jump on. Besides, if it's good enough for Jessica, it's good enough for me. Plus, look at her rocking those skinny jeans. Dare I say thin-spiration?

Interested? You can win a Wii on ThisNext, but there is only a few days left so act fast.

My husband and I have lost a combined 42 pounds since Jan. We started drinking this fruit juice called Monavie. It is made up of 19 fruits including the acai berry. We began to have more energy and our appetites were curbed. We drink 2oz in the morning and 2 oz at night. We were so excited we now have our whole family drinking it and each one has found benefits in the juice! Learn more: http://www.mymonavie.com/richardfamily

Just one more case of AOL picking up advertising dollars and passing it off to readers as an informational article. Anyone who thinks Nintendo didn't pay AOL for this advertisement is naive. AOL becomes slimier by the day.

Never use the word "thin-spiration", it is a term used by pro-anorexia sites to promote disfunctional body image.
and, looking at jessica's body...she does not look healthy.
i'm 5'5 and 104-5 pound heathily, but i'm considered underweight and and still nowhere NEAR as skinny as her.
you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Come on, do you really believe that? She's naturally thin, but can you get those abs and that ass without working out? Get a reality check people. AOL Entertainment has become more trashy and sensationalized.

Everyone knows the secret to getting into skinny jeans--diet and exercise--what we lack is the capacity or the control to achieve weight goals.

It is hilarious reading the comments here, and I can tell from them that NONE of you are Wii owners.

I have a Wii and I dropped two sizes doing Wii Boxing 30 min a day when Wii was first released.

How about YOU all get a Wii first and try it before you say it's not possible. I know a lot of you picture your teenagers sitting on their asses playing Wii and just magically losing weight. Wii IS exercise...get one before you say no. There is a guy that's been charting his own weight loss success doing the Wii Sports suite of games. I can't remember his site but I'm sure you all know how to Google.

Geesh ladies...don't be so cynical!

I can't help laughing at some of the stuff that's up here. Ofcourse you can loose weight by playing the new wii game. It's exercise in disguise. But it doesn't necessarily mean Jessica does it. Face it, if you want that kind of a body you have to do a hole lot of exercise!

duhhhhh "apparently" these werent her words saying this is what she does to look the way she looks

i not saying that the wii games dont make you lose wieght im sure they do to an extent but get real a video game making you look like her! comeon now im 17 5 ft and weigh like 115 and im content w myself more ppl should love what they see in a mirror then have a "thinsperation" that makes me sick b/c alot of my close girl friends use that term and make themselves throw up b/c they want to look like there thinspiration

i agree with most of u when u say wii payed aol to put this on here

this is nothing new, alba admitted to playing nintendo systems before , this is just a case of some reporter or idiot linking the two together , sure oyu could lose weight with the wii , i own one and i challenge anyone to try out the boxing sim on wii sports for 30 mins and not break a sweat.

fact is shes not just exclusivly using the wii , i think thats where everyone is getting confused .

also, nintendo isnt the type of company to endorse this kind of crap , its mere speculation and gossip mixed with the fact that she plays the wii , moreso what moron would believe that buying a wii could magically alter your body, nothing can, no matter what those infomercials tell you , its called a lifestyle , diets and gimmicks wont do crap!

i really doubt nintendo paid aol for this one. look at the link they give. is it a link to nintendo.com? no. its a link to thisnext.com. and if you look at it, you'll see that its just like any other ad you see on the internet. "participate in 5 of these special offers and you can win a free wii!" That type of thing.

One look at the numbers for the Wii should tell anyone that they don't have to pay anyone to sell their systems.

Wii's are everywhere. They are on cruise ships and nursing homes for Pete's sake! They are always sold out, and have topped Xbox and PS3 systems sales combined. They don't need to pay for anything..they sell themselves.

As someone else said above, just try to play Wii Boxing for 30 min and not break a sweat. But we are all aware that Jessica doesn't look like that soley from playing Wii. It's a nice article that got all of our attentions and it's also helpful in letting people know that exercise can be fun for the entire family (the Wii is very family friendly). If Jessica is "maintaining" by playing Wii, or gettin extra workouts while she games, then good for her and we should all take note. Add it to your routine..30 min Wii Baseball (I think Biggs Baseball for Wii would give you a better workout if you're looking for harder that Wii Sports) and see if it helps. Also another good worktout on Wii..Legend of Zelda or Red Steel..lots of sword fighting, VERY good for the arms.

And for those of you who have friends that are tossing their cookies to lose weight..well they need to get some help. This article or any other didn't put them over the top and shutting down one article won't help them either. Now if you'll excuse me, I have virtual grass to cut to hunt for Rupees. (Gamers will get that reference, sorry the rest of you will have to check Wikipedia. :) )

Ah hahahahaha.

Hold on....hahaha...a sec...hahaha

Hahahahahahahah ahahahahahahaaaaaa
haaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

The funniest part about this article is that it says that playing the Wii can burn 560 calories an hour. That just shows how much crap this article is filled with. Running for an entire hour at a steady pace of 10 minute miles only burns 600 calories. You expect ANYONE to believe that the Wii can burn 560 freaking calories? That's utterly ridiculous. And people who are saying that it is GREAT for the arms. Please. Punching a bag for an hour is great for the arms. Jumping rope for an hour is great for the arms and legs. Lifting weights is great for the arms. The Wii barely ranks with real exercise. That's just the delusion and fantasy gamers make up to defend themselves and attempt to show that videogames are a significant form of exercise. Please people, don't be dense.

And yes, I have played the abomination that is the Wii. It does not build/tone. It's not even a workout. People who get tired playing are either extremely out of shape, swinging their arms wildly or both. Get out of your silly fantasy world.

you should really try this shit before you talk. cuz by what ya'll said, ya'll don't know nothing. this thing actually works, and you prolly saying it doesnt because you prolly didn't try it, and why is that? because ya'll low lifes prolly can't afford the machine. and you prolly wouldnt last because you prolly some 200 pound freak sitting in front of the computer all day because you have too much junk to even move or exercise, or play this thing. if you had tried it, and it didn't work for you, maybe its cuz you`re jsut too fat that it doesnt affect you anymore cuz theres no more solutions to get rid of all that junk you fat tards carrying and maybe thas why you mad and saying shit like this. cuz if you werent so fat, you'd know what im saying. yeah it doesnt kill that many calories, but it does something.. and more than you fat fuckers would ever know. and iamawesome, you are not awesome and you prolly played it wrong, or didn't move enough and maybe you lost and you`re just mad cuz your still fat and dint lose anything. at least you guys hopefully had fun playing the wii, but you`re still fat.

That's an interesting theory, but I have a better one.

You are sadly misinformed. How do you think I know that running burns 600 calories at the pace of 10 minute miles? Or that jumping rope actually works the arms (shoulders) and the legs(calves and ankles). I named all the forms of exercise because those are exercises I do. I mean, the best you can do is call me fat? I mean, you must have some all seeings eyes for that. Congratulations on your gift.

You do know that people that play games for an inane amount of time are more geared to laziness and bad eating habits i.e. being overweight?

I weigh 150 pounds at 5'8". If that's considered fat in any country well damn, sign me up for Jenny Craig. Of course, this is the internet and whatever I say is not going to believed kinda like your insult that I am fat holds no water because you can't see me through your little computer screen.

I played it wrong? How in the bluest of blue hells would I play it wrong? I did exactly what it asked and what happened on screen corresponded. Didn't take any effort in the least. Don't be dense.

And your theory that you can be so fat that waving around your arms wouldn't burn anything is completely and utterly stupid. Do some research. However, there are 2 things that are absolutely true. First, I am indeed, very awesome. And second, 'more fit than you' (idiotic name if you ask me. But I guess you ARE psychic) you are an imbecile.
