Diddy vs. Mariah, perfume challenge '07

Who doesn't love a celebrity feud, especially one that is totally pointless? Hip-hop star Diddy (P. Diddy, Puff Daddy ... whatever) is challenging fellow musician Mariah Carey to a perfume challenge.

"I send out a challenge...I challenge all of my female counterparts that have fragrances...that my fragrance is better than theirs. I'm a man and I know how women should smell!" – Diddy

Sounds to me like he is challenging every bottle of perfume on the market, not just Mariah. Well, Mariah took it personally (read: needed publicity) and issued the following response:

"I heard about this competition, and I wish Puff all the best with his new fragrance, but I think we're actually appealing to different types of women. M by Mariah Carey is about being unforgettable, not unforgivable. It's not about a ménage à trois or a one night stand, it's for the woman who wants the man to fall in love with her immediately, stay in love, and treat her like royalty." – Mariah

Ah yes, perfume that makes a man fall in love with you – yeah Mariah that is what we are looking for. I think both Diddy and Mariah will fail miserably. I don't want to smell like a rap video and I certainly don't want to smell like a crazy person who can't dress. I will stick to my L.A.M.B perfume by Gwen Stefani. Now that is a fragrance.

I think you should not bash Mariahs perfume and most of all her sanity,Didnt your mother teach you that If you havnt got nothing nice to say dont say it at all.ahhh but then you would be a lamb wearing nobody .Lauren your mean and Im sure your words have hurt people before.

Ok..i dont know what all the fuss is. But have you smelt both of these...i have!!!, i am a perfume fanatic...and i absolutly dont care about the "name meanings"....but puffy's is wonderful!!!! It is like a fragrance ive never smelt before...it makes you smell irresistable and sexy, i love it. Its the best thing i've smelt in a while perfume wise. Mariah's is okay, but it smells too much like other perfumes, too common. PDiddy's smells alot like Miracle from lancome...but better!!!!, and that's hard to say because that perfume smells realllllllly good. Without a doubt puffy knew what he was doing when he chose this fragrance. I love it!

Another quick comment..."unforgivable" does not reak of "rap video", people need to get over that. It smells like sexy, plain and simple..fresh, its the best, and will NOT fail misserably.

The writer of the commentary is ferverishly seeking to find a journalistic identity. She is obviously a kitchen scooper (a writer who sits in the kitchen over a cup of cold coffee and tries to create sensational commentary on topics she knows very little about). Both Mariah's and Diddy's perfumes are absolutely stimulating; however, one is elegant while the other is ferocious. My lady alternates depending on her mood.

This feud is absolutely rediculous!! First of all, mariah is an incredible woman who can dress and is not crazy at all...and her perfume is incredibely sexy!! Diddys smells good too...but this is getting silly...fighting over perfumes? come on ...there are so many other important things to be worrying or fighting over!!

This is a terrible article, and a bite off of another I read earlier this week. First of all... smelling like a "rap video?" What does a rap video smell like? That was a low down stupid remark. And second of all, Mariah Carey is not crazy... most crazy people are not the Best Selling Female Recording Artist in history and did not have the BEST SELLING ALBUM of 2005 (soon best selling of 2008).

Back off MAriah bitch!

Something that I think we should all keep in mind is that everyone has different ideas, tastes, and everyone likes a different smell. Ever heard of the question "What's your favorite smell?" I do believe that question is asked because, oh my!, everyone has different opinions. Personally I think vanilla is the best smell ever. An it's just rude and mean to say bad things about people. What a horrible world this place is turning into...

Sean Johns Mens n Womens perfume is the best hands down no
challenge Mariah dosent have tha Swagg Like Diddy anyways. This is really pointless but hey its wateva Diddy got this one!
