To Sarah; I have several pairs of pearl earrings, and wear them religously to weddings, political events, funerals, housewarming parties, or older family members birthdays. Granted, I wear them for a more classic, demure look, but at 22 I can rock them!

I cannot say, however, that Iagree totally with the "Ghetto-Fab" hoop earring look. Everytime I think of hoops, I am reminded of that terrible mall-trash era in the late 80's and early 90's where girls had to have gi-normous hoops, ones that practically touched their shoulders! I shudder at that thought!

I have the diamond studs, the pearl earrings, and about five pairs of gold hoops... But I also have umteen zillion other earrings.. some made with precious stones and 14k gold and some that are seashells, copper, and every other kind of material you can think of. When you are female, you never know what you are going to be in the MOOD to wear that day, so you should have jewelry BOXES of other choices, besides the nice classics. Well, that is my two cent's worth of info. Oh the same goes for nail polish. I probably have fifty bottles...

So, why don't they make decent earrings for non-pierced people like me?
I have had my ears pierced twice...once they closed, the next time they formed keloids, which is scar tissue in the area of the hole. Consequently, I haven't bothered with re-piercing (much to the relief of my husband who would have had to buy me some serious diamond studs!) What's the deal? Isn't that earring discrimination...ha-ha!
