Curvy women are smarter than skinny women

Sick of guys who never make eye contact because they're so focused on your, um, more obvious assets? Tired of people assuming you're a bimbo just because you have a killer figure?

Never fear ladies! New research published in London's Sunday Times reveals that curvy women are smarter than those with straight or round bodies. Not only that, women with hourglass figures are more likely to have intelligent children.

Scientists think this might be part of the reason men are more attracted to women whose waists are smaller than their hips (even when compared to women who are slimmer overall).

So ladies, next time you get sick of looking at stick figure models, just remember: not only do real men find you more attractive, but, chances are, you're smarter than anyone you'll see on the catwalk.

Oh, wow. We were just talking about this on Lust Bites. (Well, really the topic was about what we won't write or do, and what we will.) But Mathilde Madden was saying that she doesn't like to read descriptions of female characters who have ‘slender yet curvy’ bodies. (Truly, she's all about what the man looks like.) Still, this is a nice tidbit of information for us to remember when we're working on our next erotic novels. If we want smart women, we ought to feed them a bit!

XXX,
Alison

its very interesting what they have found with this information but i dont believe it is correct. i am extremely thin for my height but it also runs in the family. it has been that way for several generations. my mother was a size zero until her third child was born. and even now she is still thin. but my point is that everyone in our family is gifted with strong intelligence as well as myself and i dont believe just because women are thin they are dumb. i really dont appreciate that everyone is always trying to put down thin women just because they cant be that way too. all the reasons that people come up with that make bigger women better are upsurd. get comfortable with your body and stop worrying about yourself!

This is working under the extreme assumption that there is such a thing called an 'intelligent woman.' I find that term to be an oxymoron. Women don't invent anything, are never at the vanguard of medical, computer, rocket or any other trailblazing science, and only contribute to the dumbing down of America by popularizing brain-dead soap operas, "reality" TV and awful pop/dance music.

Women just aren't intelligent. Sorry.

I'm not saying that women are any smarter than men, but I certainly don't believe we're any dumber. You can say what you want to Pete, but women don't get the same opportunities to succeed that men do. And I believe that you contribute to that, whether you believe me or not. You sound like a sexist pig who doesn't think women are capable of doing anything good for the world. Oh and by the way, my IQ is 150.

Pete, it must be hard to be a virgin ! Still, it's no reason to become hateful. Have you ever heard the saying, "God gave man two heads, but only enough blood to run one at a time" ?

This is an interesting theory. It would explain why I graduated from high-school and college and barely had to study, while my substantially thinner sister has trouble even reading. I'm a curvy girl. She's a stick figure.

Kind of makes sense now, I guess.

Pete,

I'm very sorry you feel that way, and I have to disagree. Many women have made significant contributions to both society and science. The main reason more women have not done so is precisely because of people like you who tell them they can't. In fact, studies have shown that girls tend to do better on testing in school. Don't get me wrong, I am not a militant feminist, but I do believe that women should be respected and certainly should not be insulted. Without women, would you be here, Pete? I know that you probably just made your comment to get a rise out of people, and I am doing exactly what you hoped people would do, but your post was so unbelievably despicable that I couldn't stay quiet. Your post just shows your ignorance and outdated prejudice and I sincerely hope that you take a few minutes to search online for all the cotributions that women have made... I think you would be surprised. However, you are probably so stuck in your ways that even if you did see all the great things women have done, you wouldn't change your mindset.

Pete, Pete, Poor, poor Pete.

We woman don't need to invent things with wires and bright lights. You boys do just fine in that department. No, we women spend our days and nights doing things that mean something. Do any of THESE names ring a bell, dear Pete?

Marie Curie
Susan B Anthony
Sacagawea (Lewis and Clark would STILL be looking for the West Coast)
Mother Theresa

Granted, the list is longer, but I put names there of women you might have heard of in those short breaks between playing with your robots and staring at your HD TV.

BTW, the vast majority of people in this country who were taught to read, were taught by WOMEN. The vast majority of people who are toilet trained were trained by WOMEN. How smart would you look, Pete, if you'd invented some amazing robot that could solve all the world's problems, while you're still illiterate and crapping your drawers?

Someone give Pete and hug and let's move on.

What I want to know how these researchers conducted this. Did they use a representational population? Was it all random? What makes them believe there is a direct correlation to your body shape and intelligence?
I'm not bashing this by the way, I'm just curious as to how they went about this.

Also, Pete, you're looking at women with blinders on. You're only taking into account women who dumb themselves down so they can get more attention. There have been smart women, there are smart women, and there will be smart women. Haven't you ever heard the saying "behind every great man there is a woman?"
Last point: If it wasn't for us ladies, you wouldn't be here.
