As down to earth as Karl Lagerfeld and the gang may seem, walking into a Chanel boutique can be down right intimidating. The snooty boutique girls aren't interested in people "just browsing" because they work at Chanel and they are better than you. Thankfully, a less intimidating Chanel boutique is opening up in Los Angeles not far from the Beverly Hills flagship store on Rodeo Drive. The second outpost will be located on the paparazzi-ridden Robertson Boulevard. Robertson Boulevard is home to hip little shops like Kitson, Lisa Kline, Intermix, and the Ivy restaurant. The new Chanel boutique is going to target a younger crowd, similar to the Chanel in Soho (NYC).
I am thrilled about the new shop opening and I am sure all of young Hollywood is too, as Robertson is their "it" street of the moment.
