french bull storage
You can look like a million bucks in that Milly dress entertaining guests at your dinner party. You'll even be the hostess with the mostess with that luxurious set of linens and gorgeous dinnerware on the table. However, when it's time to put all that food away, are you going to out yourself as a cheap with those "disposable" storage containers that you keep washing?

Of course not.

French Bull makes charming storage containers for food made of 100% melamine, so they're dishwasher safe and shatterproof. Most of their designs feature bright colors in geometric patterns, but they even have classic black and white. A set of three containers is $26.

Oooh, click the link! I think the one with the dots (not shown above) is the best one. But the black and white are cool, too! I wish there were red and green ones, though, for the holidays.

Alison

Lord, $26.00 just for 3 bowls? You can get a whole set of tuperware cheaper than that. Most people need more than 3 or 6 bowls for storage. I think I will stick with my tuperware.

Yeah? Who wants to pay for bowls that won't keep food fresh? At least Tupperware has been in business over 60 years and will keep your stuff fresh. And have you seen Tupperware lately? It's not your grandmother's old avacado and burnt orange color. There's beautiful colors now. So sit on it French Bull. my2.tupperware.com/ldever if you want to take a look.

I love all the shameless plugs for all the individual Tupperware websites! I won't beat around the bush about it though. I think I'll just add mine also.. :)

These sound safer to heat foods, serve, and store in the fridge. Let's give these a chance.
I've been looking for bowls like these for 18 years.

Style divas should stick to clothing; I am still using Tupperware which I received at my wedding shower
fifty years ago! True, some of the colors may be out of date, but wait seven years or so, and they'll be right back in style. These containers are dependable--unlike so many things these days. They hold what they're meant to, they don't tip over easily, they don't leak, and the transluscent ones let you see what's in them without opening. If it's fads one wants, fine, but if practicality has a place, this is it.
After all, I don't generally use them for table service, so the color is really irrelevant; it's the utility that counts. I may be a bit past middle age, but I still know a bargain when I have one.

In my experience, melamine tends to get really hot in the mircowave, so I wouldn't use them for reheating. But I like the black and white ones a lot. and the striped & diamond ones would fit in really well in my retro themed kitchen. But it would be a splurge for me to spend that much on three storage bowls, I kinda don't really care what dinner guest think about my tupperware or rubbermade storage bowls. But if you do, then I guess these would be great.

These colors look like the 60's. They will fall by the wayside in a 'not so distant' future. The thing about Tupperware is that even though they really try to update their product to follow the times, the colors also become outdated. BUT....they last forever, and do a terrific job of maintaining freshness in foods stored in them. That the "ultimate" as far as I can see. I still have some I bought in the 60's. They never wear out if cared for properly. You have to give them away just so you can update and have a new look occasionally.

Personally, I like using the newer containers from the Chinese takeouts. They're in all different sizes and stack well and cost... well, they're free, aren't they!!!

buyer beward anything made of melamine gets very hot in the microwave and too many uses in the ole micro causes it to crack and its not dishwasher safe, I've used it and had it come out cracked or broken !!

When are we all going to come back down to earth? Since when does storing leftovers need to be "pretty?" I just use my old 70s tupperware, and saved deli containers. Do we really need to keep buying more and more and more stuff????
