Serena from Gossip Girl knows how to make a school uniform look cool. In this picture she is wearing her favorite Nanette Lepore sequined sweater over top of her school uniform. The problem is the sweater alone will cost you around $300, a little too much for a girl on a budget. This look takes a bit of creativity, as the cardigan is pretty much one a a kind. I took an over-sized gray cardigan and draped a sequin scarf around the collar to achieve the look. Of course you could also go nuts at the fabric store and attempt to create your own version of this hip sweater as well.
