Oprah gives away Louboutins

Christian Louboutin - No Prive 942 Platform Slingbacks
It's days like these where I smack myself on the head and say " Why don't I go sit in the audience of The Oprah Show?"

The other day on Oprah's 'Making it Big' episode she was showcasing some of her favorite products that have "made it big." Some of those products were Coldstone Creamery ice cream, Carmex lip balm and Christian Louboutin shoes.

More Hot Shoes from Louboutin

(click thumbnails to view gallery)

  • Leather & Chain Thong Sandal
  • Wrinkled Seersucker Pump
  • Patent Wedge
  • Foil Rings Slide
  • Peep-Toe Slingback

We all know how generous Oprah can be when it comes giving away her favorite products, so naturally she was giving stuff away to her audience members. Now I could care less about a $2 tub of Carmex but what I would have been excited to receive was the ice cream Christian Louboutin shoes.

Oprah and Christian Louboutin gave one lucky audience member a pair of open-toe tiger print patent leather shoes. These shoes are a great way to spice up a little black dress or to give a pair of jeans an extra bit on oomph.

If you weren't that lucky audience member you can purchase these shoes for around $600 at Saks. Just be warned: Since these Louboutins were showcased on 'Oprah,' they're probably sold out already and going for a million dollars on eBay.

If i had twice the money Oprah has, I would still never spend $600 for a pair of shoes. If she gave me a pair, I would just auction them off to buy myself an entire outfit of practical clothes. I doubt I spend $600 a year on clothes for myself. I am happy that shoe company can find customers for their expensive shoes, but I hate the very idea of it.

I second that. Very impractical to spend 600.00 on shoes.

You are one ignorant SOB for using the word Kaffir (Kaffair) - That's right IDIOT, you misspelled the word. You need to stick to the subject, without using negative connotation about ethnicity!!! NEXT TIME, keep your ignorance to yourself - Don't Comment!!

While yes it is her money, it's ridiculous to spend so much money on shoes. Give them the money to do as they need, gift certificate, vouchers. Yeah I know she like's to give gifts blah blah blah. THERE ARE PEOPLE STARVING!! YES IN THIS COUNTRY! People are homeless, not all American children are getting a basic education. And NO it's not all the persons fault. I can't imagine spending 600 per pair for like 100+ people when right outside the studio people are in the street starving and sick. If ya gonna do GOOD then do it right, not half-assed.

Six hundred dollars ? That's the cut-rate stuff.
I'm an emerald setter. I use stones from South America and
have them cut in Thailand to my specs.
I could make Oprah a pair for $600,000.00 dollars.

If you were asking people to contribute to your Angel Network and make such a big deal out of charities and the contributions to such, would you really want people to know that you spent money in such a manner that most consider a waste?

My daughter and I love Louboutin shoes. They're beautiful, well made, and very comfortable. Definitely worth every penny we've spent on them

Christian Louboutin is also charming and down to earth. We were pleased to have met him.

Who would want or pay that much for shoes, I don't care if that heffer likes them,or even gives them away. Look at who she backs for president, I would rather have ol' Bill back. I don't even watch her show.

Such remarks shows how ignorant and races you are...it's a sad shame that another's complexsion is your reason for disliking this humanbeing. It's people like you who makes the world have little or no remorse for your fellow americans when you are struck by God. For you fail to realize that your fellow country man you detest because of pure ignorance is the same one who will come to your aide in your time of need. America was built on the sweat and back bones of black people...who were enslaved by your lazy fore-fathers. If being racist makes you proud to put up with an irresponsible President...then Americans won't only be putting up with financial demyse but the entire human resource will suffer.
Next time before posting a comment which has nothing to do with the topic in question, ask your self..."Am I the worlds biggest ass, or am I just dumb?"

That's her money and she can do what she wants. She helps lot's of poor people so if she wants to spend $1,000 on shoes she can do that. She has worked hard to get where she is. You all are complaining, but if she gave the shoes to you, you would not turn it down. Why is it that people feel when you make money you owe the world something. If you are so concerned about the hungry people or feel she should give her money else where, shit you give them a portion of your check......I thought not....hat's off to oprah...i dont see anyone else giving as much as she give so what the hell.....Oprah has done a lot for many charities, she doesnt have to give all her money away and she can spend it how she wants

I cannot believe some people, she has a school in Africa, $600.00 shoes, get real, we have people in our own country that are starving, have nothing, whippy do dah help someone out here, then you can brag about what you do, I cannot believe people idolize her so much, when she truely does not care about the little person

Do you really know the real Oprah???? She talks a good story and gives details on what she wants you to know to feel sorry for her. Oprah is for whatever makes her look good. A true giver would give away money, clothes, food, or whatever and never want to be known for it. It is more humble to give small without accolades than to give lots with the attitude of "Look what I did". I have never liked Oprah and have never watched her show. The "stuff" she "gives" away on her show is not from her, it is from, in this case, the shoe manufacturer. (and when she does give, itis for a tax deduction only.

she cant just give som, ething away without notifying the press. She is a rasist and a media whore. Please wake up people she is not the authority on how things are in the world. A true humanitaian gives without any fanfare. If you vote for obama just cause she saids so you are just a puppert and with no real brains of your own
