I've always loved rugyby shirts, they remind me of being 14 and hijacking my dad's size L Polo rugbys to summer camp. We'd wear them over a bathing suit and hang out by the lake talking about who knows what. Maybe they keep coming back because people like me love the nostalgia and think that timeless style always looks great!

Rugby shirts are a timeless classic and versatile in use. I will always associate them with a preppy look, but then I always think of the hip hop moguls who rock the rugby shirts as well.

Rugbys are simply classic. It's always back because it's always a part of the trend; nautical, prep and etc. It's something that you can throw on whether you're feeling lazy or ready to go out, you can stay looking simple and chic.

Rugby shirts are classic prep. Nothing says "I spent Saturday morning on my pony and am now watching my boyfriend's rugby game and we'll be swilling gin by sundown" than oversized stripes and a crisp collar. It says "pulled together" without losing a weekend vibe. Also, those oversized stripes are flaaaaattering. I also love rugby shirts because they remind me of high school lacrosse games and untucked jerseys with skirts. There's a thousand preppy situations that call to mind a rugby shirt and this is why they keep coming back--and the Ralph reinventions are perfect. They don't lose the classic shirt or original idea; it just gets better.
p.s. And my bf looks positively yummy in one

Rugby style shirts keep coming back because fashion staples occur in cycles. Rugby style shirts are classic, preppy, comfortably, and easy to wear. Everyone has worn them in college at one time or another, or at least that's how they are portrayed in movies, so it also has a sentimental value.

Rugby shirts have never went out of style, as a matter of fact they have been restyle and reworked into dresses in the past few years. That's the thing about classics they never go away the fashion industry just like to play tricks on us!

Rugby-style shirts keep coming back because they're super cas. and both girls and boys can wear them. They go perfectly with a pair of jeans when you're out during the day and takes very little effort at all to put together. It's a step up from a t-shirt but not too dressy that you'll appear overdressed for daytime.

Rugby shirts are the epitomy of American clothing. They are comfortable, can be dressed up or down, and look good on almost everybody. They can be worn in any "clique" whether you're a prep, a punk, or a gangsta. For these reasons, I love rugby shirts.

i also believe that rugby shirts have never gone out of style because they are very versitle (e.g. you can wear it as a scarf, sweater, beach bathing suit cover all- - for the ladies, and as a shirt by itself). Good ol' RL continues to keep this tradition alive by designing tasteful variations to the classic rugby

I think they are coming back just because they're simple yet bold, and classy looking. Mine is pink and green -- a very preppy but happy look.
