Vintage Red makes shirts we love

4/20/2008 2:26PM by Whit Honea

Vintage Red's latest contribution to our closet is inspired by world travels, beers in Bali, and long laughs shared with "citizens of the world." It is a meeting of the travel inspired and the classically western, and it fits nicely.

Their Spring '08 line consists of three collections that are as distinct as they are similar. Tricky, that. They are split into Military Neutrals, Coastal Living, and South of France, respectively, and while there are the occasional pair of shorts or printed t-shirts, the majority of the line is button up shirts, both short sleeves and long.

The Military Neutral collection is made up of tributes to soldiers and floral jungle prints. It is a uniform for a pacifists in a country at war.

The Coastal Living pieces are designed for "men of all ages- both adventurous young vacationers and old men who are one with the sea."

South of France is "perfect for long walking tours through the mountains, also for boating on the busy coasts. Sun bleached. Stone chateaus. A wild landscape. Small villages. Terraced gardens. Oleanders and olives."

We couldn't say it any better.

We love a line of clothing that wears like a postcard and a company with pride like poetry. Visit them.
