
Paris Hilton certainly made an impact in London when she stopped by Selfridges to promote her new fragrance, Can Can. She not only channeled Sarah Jessica Parker by wearing an unusual hat (which, though we're in the minority, we kind of love -- just maybe not on Paris), she also stole the spotlight from Victoria Beckham who had decided to actually take the trouble to promote her denim line down the street at Harrods.
Posh's denim line flopped big time in the U.S., perhaps partly due to the fact that the sometimes Spice Girl never bothered to show up to promote her line. She seems to have learned her lesson and flew to London from L.A. to bring some attention to her dvb jeans at Harrods. But Paris interfered.
Paris had traffic on London's busiest street stopped as she and her entourage of family and bodyguards made their way into Selfridges just two miles down the road. In this London-town showdown, Paris beats Posh. But we're ready for Round Two -- name the place and time, ladies, and we'll be there!
