Leighton Meester's purse is HUNGRY

Alright, we love the color, love the texture, and love the unexpected architectural elements of Leighton's purse on the CW Network red carpet, but we are totally confused as to why her hand is stuck deep inside it. We have several possible theories, and we'd appreciate your input:

What do you think the deal is with Leighton's purse?
Don't you know anything? Purses you carry with your hand inside are all the rage, and it's hot.	90 (24.3%)
She chipped all the nails on that hand in the limo, and figured this would be a great way to hide it.	28 (7.6%)

Maybe she's hiding a new engagement ring (I probably mean engaement ROCK), because she's not ready to tell the world through the gossip that can begin with a simple picture? Maybe she'd like to tell everyone herself, at the right tima and place? Just a theory.
