The 36th Annual FiFi Awards were held this week, and Vera Wang was honored with a Hall of Fame award. Winning a FiFi is like winning an Oscar of fragrance. Vera was especially excited because she spent a lot of time in France as a young girl, with perfumes playing a big part in her life.

While Daisy by Marc Jacobs actually took home fragrance of the year in the women's luxury category, the night was still all about Vera.



Her award was presented to her by hockey player and future Vogue intern Sean Avery. Vera was so excited to receive it! She said of the honor, "It's something beyond my dreams. My mother adored fragrance, she educated me in fragrance. We lived in Paris a great deal throughout my life, so fragrance has been a part of my upbringing. But to somehow win an award for fragrance - a Hall of Fame award - is inconceivable to me."

At the moment Vera has 4 women's and 1 men's fragrance out, but she's looking to expand her brand. She wants to do a line of oil, "where price is not an issue at all and it's just a totally luxurious product."
