Yes WSJ, Michelle Obama *is* our new fashion darling

The Wall Street Journal finally discovered our fashion crush on Michelle Obama. And clearly we have plenty of company. Following her appearance on The View (another secret love) women across the nation are flocking to White House/Black Market to buy the $148 dress Michelle wore on the show.

Like us, we're sure Michelle prefers to have her assets listed in this order: smart, funny and pretty. And that's how we'd describe her. She's wicked smart, and successful, and we can totally imagine being office buddies with her.
Michelle would be the one we always make review our presentations, because we have a feeling she's good at fixing the charts and catching typos. Then we'd drag her to coffee to dish about the new girl, followed by a quick run to Shoe Pavillion to giggle at the latest Jessica Simpson white, vinyl, f-me heels. And we would believe her when she counseled us to invest in the Michael Kors black patent pumps because they will always be in fashion, but to wait until they go on sale.

See how real she seems? And that's her fashion secret. Michelle is one of us, buying and wearing the same kind of clothes we wear, to the office, to the recital, to a cookout. Her cute outfits are literally accessible, as in you can pick them up at the mall.

She has a great figure, but it's an attainable figure -- she clearly does a challenging arms circuit, and eats cake. Plus she knows how to maximize her assets and select items that are age and situation appropriate. And can we talk about her accessories? Fantastic. Striking, but not overdone. Perfect...on her.

In other words, she will never be the featured makeover on an episode of What Not To Wear, but Clinton and Stacy might use her as an example of a well constructed, flattering wardrobe.

We've heard some rumblings about "softening" Michelle's style, but we vote to keep her exactly the way she is: our First Lady of Fashion.

Give me a break. She looks like she just walked out of the Dress Barn, TJ Max, Daffy's, Alexanders,Kleins, Macy's, Shoes for Less, Tani's,etc. Hey babe go to Barney's or Bergdorfs. And PLEASE get a new pair of shoes. Have you ever heard Manolo Blanik or Christian La Bouton? If so try to walk in. However I am sure that they will throw you big fat phony ass out.. Take a walk up Madison Avenue so everyone can look at this tacky cheap big ass spectacle of a low down classless thing we humans on earth call a woman with who dresses well.. Better yet fly over to Kenya (if you can afford it. If not use the peoples money to buy yourself a one way ticket)and dance in the street you and that no good husband can do the tango and knock fists with your people. Get out of my country with that no good skinny ass liar phony two faced husband OSAMA/OBAMA

Hey you can't afford dress? Oh I forgot your watching the peoples money. However I do think that will let you slide for maybe for a $160.00 dress. Hey babe you are certainly looking like a Madison Avenue type with that $148.00 dress that everyone all over the country is running to buy. Me personally I go to Linda Dresners Barney's or Bergdorfs. Have you ever heard of these stores? I'm sure not. There aren't any stores like these on the South Side of Chicago. You're Harvard graduate SUPPOSE to be intelligent. Me I personally think that you are a good phony and not too bright and you have a BIG ass. Dress has to quite a large size for some one like you (a perfect body) to fit into. A lot of cheap and tacky fabric. As a matter of fact pretty stupid. Hey you're married to Osama/Osbama. .There aren't any on the south side of Chicago.

Mrs. Barack (I don't even know how to spell that slime buckets name) Osama/Obama you have no class. Preaching with that loud mouth of yours. Dear god I feel sorry for those two little girls. Look what they are stuck with. .Boy are they going to turn out well. Not their fault. Look at their role models. Poor things. T

Really???

To the intelligent and oh so appropriate 'poodle' (female I'm sure) name they give themselves, do you have any idea what good fashion is? If so you would know Michelle is not a name thrower, as you so clearly are. She has better things to worry about... like the country. Not the sale rack at your "high-end" DEPARTMENT stores like Barney's or Bergdorfs. She goes a step ahead to a wonderful little thing called "boutiques" and by the way... the belt ALONE in this picture is a fabulous Alaia Patent Leather belt. It's okay... I'm sure you're not familiar with the works of Azzedine Alaia although he is one of the most amazing and respected designers of all time. You go ahead and stick with your over produced designer names and DEPARTMENT stores like Bergdorfs (where by the way Azzedine Alaia will NOT even sell his lines to, he will only allow his shoes to be sold in such a big quantity there). If she buys a fantastic dress for $148 more power to her for finding such a great deal! Really do us all a favor and know your stuff before you try to be high and mighty.

To the really genius Don't you know that when returning items to boutiques they in turn give you store credit. They do this because they need the money to stay in business. Duh Bergdorfs and Barney's DON'T they don't need the money. They credit back your acct. Obviously you don't have accounts with them either does Mrs. Osama/Obama. It is quite apparent that you don't live in New York City or maybe you do. If so then you must be the one I always see wearing blinders. My guess is is that you're a country bumpkin who shops a t K-Mart JC Penny etc.

Poodle - first, it's LOUBOUTIN...perhaps his name is spelled incorrectly on your knockoff pair. The rest of your spelling errors are too numerous to relate here, but I recommend you brush up a little on the English language before you start implying certain Harvard grads aren't intelligent enough to shop on Madison Avenue.

If you knew anything at ALL about Chicago, you'd know about the Gold Coast. She has easy access to the generic names you're dropping. The fact that Michelle has a broader outlook on fashion and makes her own choices instead of just allowing the latest designer ensemble to be forced down her throat is admirable. If you really think first ladies should only wear couture, perhaps you should consult some old photos of Nancy Reagan.

They must of been out of the majority fasciated with the name Kennedy or else they were getting something else from them. Jackie was.I don't know about the other genius. Don't want to go there.

Poodle, you are a total disgrace and your genes should be wiped from the gene, I wouldn't want you procreating and having more ignorance, bigoted human beings like yourself, that would be scary for our nation's future. As for you obviously being scared sh*tless by the Obamas (which is quite funny, by the way), it shows how successful the GOP can be in creating fear amongst the ignorant masses regarding their Democratic opponent for President. Now, for the first time, they can create fear regarding the candidate's own race, so I'm sure they've got lots of smear tactics in the works for pathetic souls like you to eat up and believe. No wonder GWB was able to serve not one, but two terms as President. I'm not surprised, it's idiotic people like you who believe the GOP message of fear. You're a sad individual, and all I wish for you is to one day come to your senses, and recover from the sickness that you obviously suffer from, racism.

LOL First of all, his last name is OBAMA, that's O-B-A-M-A! Learn how to spell, please before you try to have an intellectual argument with someone (then again, you can't engage in a battle of wits when you're obviously unarmed, but you get an 'A' for effort for trying ;) ). And you've just showed how ignorant and gullible you are by associating his last name with Osama bin Laden! What a crackhead! But, I don't have the time nor the energy to try and educate the ignorant, scared, and stupid today or any day for that matter. Barack and Michelle Obama are AMERICAN citizens sweetie, they weren't born in Afghanistan. But you're expressing what I figured some would be feeling by seeing the real possibility of a Black man becoming President, I'm glad you don't represent ALL white people (assuming you are white). Your real fear and resentment of Black people was already there before Barack even entered the Presidential race, it's just that now you feel the need to express your frustration (poor thing you are). Well, as I said earlier, the GOP love people like you, they love gloating about how stupid they think the American people are and how easy it is to inject fear into them (and looking at the words of people like you, who could really argue their point). I'm sure you watch lots of Fox (Faux) News and listen to the likes of Rush Limbaugh everyday.

Barack Obama-Oh no! Here comes white slavery! Unlimited welfare for Blacks! He's going to set all the Black people who are in jail free! LOL Hey, if I told you gullible wasn't in the dictionary, would you believe me?

This is my last response to you, because you're not worth a third effort. Take care, and again I hope you recover from your racist mindset.

Oh and.....BOO! LOL

American citizens sweeties? You're crazier than ever. They got this thing going on with Ms. Kennedy. That's why their hanging out together. Using her but who cares? She's just another usable dish rag you throw out. Trying to be the second Mr. and Mrs. Camelot.I didn't even know there was a first Mr. and Mrs. Camelot. Portraying themselves that way just to get elected but only the stupid will vote for him. Another lie. I am sure they hate each other maybe they aren't even married. The two of them need Mr. Clean.

Get out of my country and go back to Afghanistan or Kenya Either one who cares?. Just get out of hear. Country will be a better country for it. We need no more two faced Osama/Obama's here

Go MCain Go. He's a war hero and knows what he is doing. Read the BLOGs you whacked out jerk

Hey you said POSSIBILITY not PROBABILITY. So who's so confident about their candidate? Me for use the word PROBABILITY . I just have a little more confidence in myself. You for one have 00000.

McCain will win. Even though no one I know or have ever seen has ears that stick out. The people of this country for once have to make believe that their ears are that large and protrude.

I saw him yesterday sitting between Albright and someone else with the American Flags in the background you had to see how uneasy insecure he looked. Very Presidential. He looked like a 10 year old and that is even stretching it

Oh, and you may not know this, but Sen. Clinton and Bill Clinton know Reverend Wright quite well, but of course she didn't admit that when she was running for President. You see, they saw SPIRITUAL COUNSELING from Rev. Wright when Bill Clinton was President, look it up. But Barack is too classy of a person to bring that up during the election, even when Hillary acted like she had never met the man before. So what do you say to that? Nothing, I suppose.

I happen to be a very happy person. I will be a miserable person if Osama/Obama wins. Racist Mrs OsamaObama was wearing a BLACK & WHITE $148.00 dress Duh? I wonder why. It's the race card. But I forgot you don't know what possibility means.

According to CNN Do you watch CNN ? Do you understand them? They claim Osama/Obama is too risky ti be President .He needs to go back to nursery school in Afghanistan or Kenya. I don't which one he will opt for.

Get the hell out of my country Mr and Mrs. Osama/Obama!!!

Man, who the hell pissed in your Wheaties?

I don't even know where to start with this, but I think it's pretty obvious to people here that you're a complete tool, so I'll not enumerate your errors.

What I will say is this though: if all the Obamas have to worry about is sorry attacks and misinformation like you're peddling here then he won't have any problem beating McCain.

As for Michelle Obama's fashion, I'd greatly enjoy having a first lady with a bit of simple fashion flair. I'm so tired of wool jackets and pantsuits, so it's nice to see something different.
