In case you haven't heard, Portero.com -- an online luxury auction -- has just launched its massive vintage Chanel handbag extravaganza.

There are over 200 vintage and quilted bags up for grabs to the highest bidder, of course. While Chanel has absolutely nothing to do with the sale, all of the handbags have been gathered from private collectors and authenticated. So, if you've ever been deceived by an Ebay seller, relax. This isn't that kind of operation, darling.
All of the discontinued bags are in mint condition and so far, fetching prices as if Karl Lagerfeld just whipped up their sketches in his atelier. For example, a navy quilted 2.55 has a current bid of $3395, which is about how much a similar bag would go for in a Chanel store right now.

Suffice it to say, these bags don't depreciate! So your purchase will be well worth the investment. The auction will run through June 30th.
