Fashion Week In Hong Kong

7/14/2008 5:51PM by Kyle Hepp

Hong Kong Fashion Week came and went without making too much of a blip on the overall fashion radar, but here at Styleadsh, we took notice. Held from the 8th-11th of this month there were quite a few killer designs that came down the runway over on the other side of the world!

Street style in Hong Kong is very funky and innovative, so it was fun to see which designers gave the city look their own twist.

Renus Wan did a collection called, "Enjoy Our Selfhood Life in the City Corner," which featured hoodies, lots of layering, bright colors and sneakers -- kind of like Avril Lavigne's line, but edgier.

New Organism designer Ronny Ng played on the stereotypes we often have of Asia -- that their technology is so advanced they all drive flying cars and wear space suits to work. He did a very futuristic collection with shiny fabrics and sleek shapes.

Our favorite collection, by far, was "Fluctuation with Construction" by Law Ka Cho. We adored the slouchy trousers, black and orange color combo and high waisted skirts. Everything that came out onto that runway was gorgeous and perfectly in keeping with this season's trends.
