Tonic: Good tees and good causes

We love a good t-shirt. We've been pretty clear on that. We also love doing the right thing (insert Spike Lee reference here). You can imagine how happy we were to find a t-shirt company that embodies both.

Tonic has t-shirts for men and women in 8 different prints. The sales of these shirts helps contribute to charities in the following areas, education, environment, poverty, and social welfare. Tonic donates about 40% of their profits to these causes. That's a very cool thing (we're not the only ones that think so).

Tonic: Tees for men and Women

Tonic has a great take on the role of commercialism in society:

Consumerism doesn't have to be a dirty word. We will always want, always consume - this is how we work, and this has been the blue print for survival since the beginning of time. But this insatiable hunger has become the root of big problems around the world - from health to hunger, human rights, education, environment - the list is endless.

What if your wallet or purse was an instrument of ethical decision-making? Or, to put it another way, what if you could spend your way towards a better world? Not just for you but for every living thing on our planet.

Business shouldn't have a bad reputation – it's the way most of us have always made our lives better. And most people in most places are looking for that better life. We can keep business flowing, but redirect some of its outcomes to reach people who need it most.

We like to think of this whole shift as The TONIC Generation - a generation of people who feel citizens of the whole world, not just their own town or country. They feel that how they spend their money should have a direct and positive benefit for their fellow global citizens who might not have the same opportunities.

The bottom line is - what if capitalism and social good can co-exist? For us it starts with a T-shirt – one that looks good on you but at the same time provides a lifetime of clean water and sanitation for a person in Nepal or plants a bunch of trees to help the world breathe more easily. Soon we'll create more styles of products to suit your lifstyles and are always coming up with new ideas!

We couldn't have said it any better ourselves (that's why we didn't). Support some good causes and look good doing it, shop Tonic and track your impact.
