If Urban Outfitters could talk to us, we know the secrets coming from its mouth would be something about how it's always wanted be Topshop. For reals, though, we're almost 100% sure that if Urban Outfitters could take anyone out it would be the British mega retailer. The tension between the two companies is thick and its only going to get more stifling with Topshop landing on our shores this fall. The battle for American fast fashion hearts will be an intense one.
With that, its only fitting that the hipster mecca would began churning out all of its cool indie designer diffusion collections before the big export properly sets up shop in New York. Urban Outfitters has been dropping their mini lines kind of haphazardly over the past few months, so if you missed the new Steven Alan stuff, don't feel bad. It almost went under our radar, too.
Known for his well-made American classics, Steven Alan created an effortlessly cool line of carefree dresses, feminine high-waisted pieces, and of course, timeless buttoned-downs. The Larks & Wolff by Steven Alan collection is also fairly easy on the wallet, which means you'll have enough cash leftover to run over to Topshop and pick up a thing or two. But don't worry, we won't tell anyone.
