Not all of it applies to all skin types, and what works for one person's look might not work for yours. But still, we collect these little nuggets of wisdom like the tooth fairy collects teeth because when the right tip comes along, it can rock our world.

Allure came out with 59 tips from makeup and beauty experts in its August issue -- real tips, giving real solutions to real problems that regular women face. Out of nearly 60 pieces of advice, we've gotta believe one or two will be at least somewhat life-changing.
