Patricia Field's 5-Finger Half Gloves from Sex and the City

Gloves are usually unnecessary and impractical--especially when you live in Los Angeles. But they are also devastatingly glamorous and fun, and now that Labor Day has come and gone, glove season is fast approaching.

After falling in love with the half gloves Sarah Jessica Parker wears while talking on a pay phone in Sex and the City, we were happy to discover they were available online. Patricia Field, who designed Carrie's original pair, is selling replicas for the reasonable price of $48. The good news: we just got ours, and they're even cooler than we could have imagined. The bad news: they're on back order yet again, and this time until November.

i love these gloves. i purchased them last year, and i bought the two colors shown, and i get positive reactions whenever i wear them out. they are so cute, this would be a great addition to any stylish girl's wardrobe, trust me! :-)

Patricia Fields is sold out for who knows how long. If you really want this look, find a pair of leather gloves and take them to a tailor. Print out an image of the glove to take with you and they should be able to alter the standard glove to the very sexy 1/2 look. I did it and I LOVE them! Good luck!
